Leadership Tips to empower your staff to help you achieve goals

If the goals that have been set are not being achieved and you are the leader then the first thing is to accept that it is your fault as a leader and not your staff.

Your team will do what is needed if they are given the tools and expectations.

As a leader you should own the outcome.

People do the best they can until they learn another way so as the leader teach them a better way if you know one. You are able to influence the situation if you have knowledge and teach what you know.

Brainstorm with your staff by having conversations with them while being open minded to suggestions.

Sit around in a circle in your chairs. Remove the conference table which will disable staff from having their phones on or under them as a distraction. Engage with them for solutions.

Learn to get more focused on the things that matter to you.

Practice learning what is important now.

Teach by repetition. If you hear something over and over again you are more likely to absorb and learn the solution.

Appreciate your staff and be open minded to their ideas. Your staff will do more for you as a leader if you involve them. People don’t stay in situations where they are not heard or able to be involved. This is why so many resign.
