What are you most excited about for the future?

What are you most excited about for the future?

This is a great question to think about. Do you know what you are most excited for?

Is it

Your Family that may be growing……

Your Job and a new position that you are wanting…..

Your new home and making it more reflective of you…..

Your new puppy that makes you happy…….

Your vacation that is on your bucket list….

Your new enrollment in a course…..

Whatever it may be, think about the situation and hold onto that feeling.

I am excited that I get to be with both my grandchildren and experience the world through their eyes. These little ones see everything with such wonder. They see the beauty where we may no longer notice.

They aren’t distracted by the business of adult life. I get to really think about the why of whatever my 2 year old granddaughter may ask of me. I love how anything that she sees has her intrigued. I love the ease in which she navigates interactions with others.

She is too little to worry about what adults think of. There isn’t the question of what should I talk about, Do I fit in, Will we have something in common just to name a few things that adults may get stuck on when meeting someone for the first time.

This little one truly makes me smile and I am grateful for that. You see 4 years ago I was diagnosed with Cancer and I survived. I am so thankful that I am thriving and living life in the moment. So this question was very easy for me to answer. I at one point questioned if I was going to see my children have children.

I am grateful for the advances of Medicine and that I indeed will be able to continue to see the world through these little ones eyes. I am looking forward to tomorrow and the next day with a quest to make it better for each person that I may come into contact with. I am hoping to pay it forward and smile at the people I meet each day. Sometimes, when you smile at a stranger and say good morning or good afternoon you immediately can feel a positive vibe between you and the receiver of your smile.

So, Go out into the world and greet the next person you happen to pass by with a smile. I imagine that you both will benefit from it. If that person doesn’t smile back try again. No need to question why that person may not smile back. The result of you smiling may make that person have a private conversation in their head questioning what just happened. Hopefully they will figure it out and pay it forward as well.

Have a wonderful tomorrow!
