Reminder that October 1st 2023, Medicaid will be utilizing the Nursing PDPM Component for Medicaid reimbursement.

What does that mean?

MDS’s Completed beginning in July could be the MDS’s utilized for Medicaid Payment.

Be prepared:

Ensure that in July MDS’s have the Correct Medicaid Number coded

Ensure that all Nursing PDPM Clinical conditions are coded accurately

Ensure Nursing function score is accurately scored
